Arrive at Delhi Airport and connecting flight to Leh, a breathtaking one-hour early-morning flight across the Greater Himalayas. Welcome lunch and an easy day with short walks around Leh. Introduction and brief about the tour at dinner time.
Day 02 Leh
Warming up day trip to get familiar with the handling of the Enfield Bullets. We’ll ride for about 100 km to visit the Stok Palace and further via the famous Hemis and Tiksey monasteries before returning to our hotel.
Day 03 Lamayuru
Today, we start for the lower Indus Valley – to acclimatize to this amazing high altitude moon landscape with a rewarding visit to the Lamayuru Monastery. We’ll spend the night in a modest but comfortable monastery guest house.
Day 04 Alchi via Likir
Today, we head for the beautiful village of Alchi and its monastery, which is regarded as one of the most important Buddhist centres in Ladakh and also referred to the “monastic jewel of Ladakh”.(100km)
Day 05 Alchi to Leh via Sham valley and Basgo
Ride from Alchi to Basgo through Hemis Shukphan. (100km)
Day 06 Kardung La Pass
Crossing the world’s highest motorable road; the famous Kardung La Pass, all the way down to the Nubra Valley. (120 km).
Day 07 Nubra Valley
Ride from Hunder to Panamik and Sumur Tegar. Visit to Samstangling Gompa monastery and hot springs. (140km)
Day 08 Pangong Tso Lake
Ride through the Wari La Pass to the shores of Pangong Tso Lake, situated at a height of 4.350 meter. (165km)
Day 09 Leh
We enjoy today’s breakfast by the lake and will take our time to “saddle up” before returning to our comfortable base in Leh (150 km).
Day 10 TsoKar Lake
Drive to the salt lake of Tsokar and camp there. (180 km)
Day 11 Tsokar to Tsomoriri
Ride through the isolated region of Rupshu Valley to Tsomoriri Lake. On the way, we’ll meet the meet the Changpas (nomads) who camp around in their yak skin tents and graze their yaks and Pashmina goats. We’ll spend the night in a deluxe camp near Tsomoriri Lake. (4.522m, 100 km)
Day 12 Tsomorori Lake
A free day to walk around the lake and observe the unique and endangered bird species.
Day 13 Tsomoriri to Leh
Last day in the Enfield’s saddle so we’d better make the most of it; an 8 to 9 hour ride to Leh via Mahe. (3500m, 210 km)
Day 14 Leh
A free day in Leh to let the impressions and memories of this truly unforgettable trip sink in. Farewell dinner.
Day 15 Delhi
Flight to Delhi and onwards home with lots of memories.
